More from Grenson this week in the shape of their very popular Fred brogue boot , but, just to change the game, they have placed a super lightweight Vibram sole on these classics. The result is something that is completely unexpected and out of the ordinary, without doubt a head turner and will positively add a certain je ne sais quoi to any outfit. We are big fans.
We also have stumbled across a new discovery that was made on a recent trip to one of our favourite countries in the world, Sweden. Home of understated design and functionality (as well as good open sandwiches and the best meatballs we have ever tasted) we met a fellow called Anton Sandqvist who just happens to own a luggage brand by the name of Sandqvist (good name Anton) that has been producing fine bags since 2004. We are particularly impressed by their backpacks, tote bags and very reasonably priced weekend bag. These sold out the first weekend they hit the Number Six shop floor but fear not, we got on the phone to Anton and before you can say "flat pack furniture" we had a healthy replenishment of these Swedish beauties. Haven't had a huge deal from Adidas this season (some kind of logistical problems apparently) but what we have received, is definitely top of the tree. Their hiking boot looks like it could stand up to a good few weeks treking across the Lake District whilst also ensuring you are cutting a dash in the Cumbrian pubs in the evening. Not forgetting those of you that prefer to spend your leisure time on a court (a basketball or tennis court that is, not the crown variety) we have the latest incarnation of the Adidas American Lo that is also going to look just at home in your local watering hole. All done for the moment, but style never sleeps. We will be busy getting the most recent drop of fine wares onto the pages of Number Six and over to all of you good folk all this weekend. Ears to the ground everyone!!Number Six - Winter footwear and accessories
